This is a five book series that presents all the stories of the Bible, written in an easy to understand conversational style. Each story is presented in its simplest form and is accurate to Scripture. * They are crafted so as to present only the simple understanding of the story. * Small stories are grouped together with other events. 20 Then God said, “Let the waters swarm with fish and other life. Let the skies be filled with birds of every kind.” 21 So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that scurries and swarms in the water, and every sort of bird—each producing offspring of the same kind. And God saw that it was good. 22 Then God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply.

Historically, the books of our present-day Bible, as found in the KJV and NASB, etc., are the only ones that the Protestant church has recognized as inspired of God and thus canonical. For more information on the issue of canonicity, see the study, Bibliology: The Doctrine of the Written Word on our web site as well as other studies on canonicity. There are other reasons which could be explained in greater detail such as the testimony of the early Church, the witness of history and archaeology, and the evidence of changed lives throughout the centuries, to name but a few. The bottom line is that the Bible is special. It is unique. No other book has any such credentials.

In fact, only the Bible and those religions rooted in the Bible (including Islam and the Christian sects, like Mormonism) claim to have books that are actual revelation from God. When we compare the Bible with, say, the Koran or the Book of Mormon, we find some very important differences.   You’ve hinted at one reason those of us who are Christians believe the Bible is different from every other book that’s ever been written: We believe God gave it to us, and therefore it is God’s Word. As the Apostle Paul wrote, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God” (2 Timothy , NKJV).
